Darling St Optometrix operation during COVID-19

In times of uncertainty, we are all facing life and work challenges during this current pandemic.

We would like to reassure all our patients and the community, that whilst our commitment in delivering our essential service continues, everyone’s safety is of essence and priority.

We have implemented numerous operational changes to create the safest and most hygienic environment possible.

We ask all individuals wishing to visit our practice to exercise common ground government protocols.

If you feel unwell (Fever, cough, sore throat or any flue like symptoms), travelled interstate or overseas, to please reschedule your visit, or contact us via phone or email for any advice, orders or any other queries.

All patients entering our practice are asked to hand sanitise upon entry.

You will see a stand, sign and hand sanitiser at the front door.

Social distancing is to be exercised with limited number of 3 patients in at any given time. We have also placed floor stickers to help assist distancing.

If we have 3 patients in the practice, the door will be closed and locked with a sign indicating social distance rules. We ask you remain patient or kindly come back after a short time.

We have increased surface disinfection of our furniture, floors, door handles, and reception accessories and payment terminals after every single patient.

Our Optometrist will be wearing gloves and a mask during the consultation. A shield has also been placed on equipment where close distancing is required.

Patients are welcome to try on any optical or sunglass frames, providing they are then placed on a tray provided for disinfection.

Our phone systems have been upgraded to take your messages at any time and respond to you personally.

All contact lens orders can be placed via email or phone and home delivery can be arranged free of charge.

With all the above precautions taken during COVID-19. Team Darling St Optometrix, are proud to work together with the community and move forward in these difficult times.

Remember, we are a phone call away and we will get through this together.

Stay Safe.
